This post is later than I wanted it to be but it's here
It's been a hectic couple of weeks with baby showers and friends and family birthdays right after each other. First of, Bunmi turned 21. WOOP WOOP!!! We had cupcakes, a giant cupcake, a 2 tiered cake and lots and lots of food. I was too busy drooling over the cakes and view from our cottage to actually take any pictures of the food... But trust me, we had lots of it
Then my little brother turned 12. Like seriously, 12! They grow up so fast!! I think I was more excited about this cake than the birthday haha. He "requested" (more like I semi forced it on him) a Marvel's Avengers cake. If you didn't already know, I'm a secret comic fan (not so secret now but who cares!)
So, how did I do? It didn't come out how I expected, design wise, but I still like it
My favourite piece is Thor's hammer... Iron man's mask... Wait, it's Captain America's shield... No, I meant Hulk's fist... No, wait, can I just change my mind again? Err... I CAN'T PICK ONE!! You see my dilemma... They're all so cool and made of either chocolate bars (Thor's hammer) or rice krispies and melted marshmallows, so completely edible and not too sweet
And finally my little sister turned 16. Please, explain to me how that's possible! I keep thinking she's still 12. i don't know why I keep saying "little" like it helps. I can't even deal! She requested two cake, one for her meal with her friends and the other to take to church.
First one is my trademark banana cake with cream cheese frosting. She gave me free reign on the design, what do you guys think?
Second one is red velvet with cream cheese frosting as well. She wanted the ombre effect. Which one do you guys like better? I personally like the banana one for design and the red velvet for taste
I guess that means I've found my new favourite cake recipe :)
Expect another post sometime this week guys, really exciting new :)
